Precipitation

Lounging on a gold velvet love chair in La Va, a quaint new cafe on 21st and South St. The thrift store-chic decor and wafting aroma of La Colombe coffee make for an inviting backdrop to the onset of the blizzard of 2006 through the windows lining the perimeter of the cafe. Am sipping on a spiced chai latte & readying myself for a quick read through a couple chapters of the latest book gracing my night table these days, Bill Bryson's "The Lost Continent." It's laugh out loud hilarious, btw. Feeling warm & fuzzy in spite of the winter storm unfolding before me.
